Share your feedback on communication and engagement
Our second community engagement survey is now open from Friday 31 May to Friday 28 June 2024.
Please take some time to share your feedback on how we communicate and engage with the community.
It takes about 15 minutes and helps us improve our processes, the information we provide about the project and how we interact with the community.
We really appreciate your feedback. If you would like to see the insights and outputs from the first survey conducted in November 2023, please click here.
Get your dose of construction photos
In November 2023, we surveyed the Coffs Coast community to learn what we could do to improve community engagement. Respondents overwhelmingly said they would like more regular construction photos and video.
We are listening and have produced a photo book to better share construction images of the 14 kilometre bypass, being built through funding from the Australian and NSW Governments.
Download our May photo book and keep an eye out for new editions each quarter.
Say hello to the Super Ts
The first of 260 Super T girders will be delivered to site in May, starting at the new bridge over Newports Creek in North Boambee.
Ten 34 metre long Super T girders weighing about 69 tonnes will be delivered to this bridge and installed using a 750-tonne crane.
The Super T girders are being delivered from our precast yard in Macksville via North Boambee Road via oversize, over mass vehicles and a pilot vehicle escort. All deliveries will be made during off peak periods and outside of school pickup and drop off times.
Always remember to ACT when driving near these oversize, over mass vehicles as they are unable to stop, merge or turn suddenly. Please keep a safe distance and follow all instructions given by traffic control and the pilot vehicle.
If an oversize, over mass load is approaching you from the opposite direction, please reduce your speed, move as far to the left as possible and prepare to stop if necessary.
For more information, please read our Super T girder fact sheet and the notification for this work.
Helping you manage your journey
We understand traffic changes are disruptive for road users and appreciate your patience during construction of the Coffs Harbour bypass.
Conditions are continuing to change in the area, so we are asking motorists to please ACT:
Be aware: Keep up to date with the project and the latest traffic changes.
Be cautious: Follow signage, drive to the conditions, and follow the direction of traffic control.
Allow more time: Access arrangements will continue to change. Plan for minor delays and be patient on the road.
Please subscribe to our email list to keep informed about traffic changes and help you plan your journey.
