Employment opportunities

Construction work on the upgrade of the Pacific Highway will continue to until the middle of 2020. In the first half of 2018 the upgrade generated an average of about 3,300 direct and 10,000 indirect jobs. Roads and Maritime Services and its contractors, wherever possible, use local products and services for infrastructure construction projects.

Note: All companies that supply services on site must be Construction Code and Fair Work Australia compliant. Roads and Maritime Services audits all companies before they are contracted to ensure they meet the rules.
