Soil and water management

Roads and Maritime Services recognise that during the construction phase of the Pacific Highway upgrade large areas of bare earth are exposed, as well as working within and very closely to sensitive waterway environments. Great care is taken to ensure water quality impacts are minimised through use of professional soil conservationists, detailed erosion and sediment control plans, ongoing monitoring and maintenance of erosion and sediment controls.
