Impacts to Non-Indigenous and Indigenous heritage can occur as a result of the upgrade projects. Roads and Maritime Services works closely with both local Aboriginal communities and the Office of Environment and Heritage to manage and minimise impacts as much as possible.
Investigations undertaken for environmental assessments normally include a detailed site history and Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal archaeological surveys. The results of these surveys and any more detailed research such as further archaeological salvage work are made available on each project's page or in the document library.
